There are 23 species of vultures, which are divided into two groups: the Old World vultures and the New World vultures. Old World vultures are found in Europe, Africa, and Asia, while New World vultures are found in the Americas. Vultures are known for their scavenging behavior, feeding on carrion and helping to clean up the environment. However, many vulture species are currently facing threats such as habitat loss, poisoning, and collisions with power lines, leading to population declines and conservation concerns. **

Eagles are generally considered stronger than vultures. Eagles are powerful birds of prey with strong talons and beaks, allowing them to hunt and kill their own prey. Vultures, on the other hand, are scavengers that primarily feed on carrion. While vultures have impressive soaring abilities and can cover great distances in search of food, they are not as strong or powerful as eagles in terms of hunting and capturing prey. **

Eagles and vultures have excellent eyesight, often considered among the best in the animal kingdom. They have keen vision that allows them to spot prey from great distances while soaring high in the sky. Their eyes are adapted to detect movement and small details, making them highly efficient hunters. Overall, their exceptional eyesight plays a crucial role in their ability to survive and thrive in their environments. **

Porcupines and griffon vultures are not related, as they belong to different animal groups. Porcupines are rodents, while griffon vultures are birds of prey. They exhibit convergent evolution, where they have developed similar physical characteristics, such as sharp quills or feathers, to adapt to their environments and lifestyles. Despite their similarities in appearance, they do not share a common ancestor. **

Homology is present in all vultures as scavengers. This is because all vultures share a common evolutionary ancestor and have similar anatomical features and behaviors that have been adapted for scavenging. These shared characteristics are considered homologous traits. Analogous traits, on the other hand, would be features that have evolved independently in different species to serve a similar function, which is not the case for vultures as scavengers. **

No, it is not allowed to keep vultures as pets in Germany. Vultures are protected under the German Animal Welfare Act and are considered wild animals that require specific care and living conditions that cannot be provided in a domestic setting. Keeping vultures as pets is illegal and can result in severe penalties. **

The minimum size of a bird cage for vultures should be large enough to allow the birds to fully extend their wings and move around comfortably. For a single vulture, the cage should be at least 10 feet wide, 10 feet long, and 10 feet high. However, it is important to note that vultures are highly social birds and thrive in the company of their own kind, so it is recommended to provide a larger enclosure if housing multiple vultures. Additionally, the cage should be equipped with perches, branches, and other environmental enrichments to promote natural behaviors and mental stimulation. **

No, scavengers like hyenas and vultures do not have similar poisonous bacteria in their saliva like Komodo dragons. Komodo dragons have a unique type of bacteria in their saliva that can cause deadly infections in their prey. Hyenas and vultures rely on their strong stomach acids to digest their food, rather than relying on bacteria in their saliva to weaken their prey. **
